History

  • 1969

    Our first scholarship students were sent abroad.

  • 1971

    TEV opened its first branch in Izmir.

  • 1972
    TEV launched the funeral wreath application for the first time.
     
    Since 1972, nearly 30 thousand students have been given scholarships from wreath donations.
  • 1973

    Ankara Branch was opened.

  • 1979

    Adana Branch was opened.

  • 1982

    Bursa Branch was opened.

  • 1984

    Antalya Branch was opened.

  • 1985
    Balıkesir Branch was opened.
     
    Eskişehir Branch was opened.
  • 1989

    Denizli Branch was opened.

  • 1992

    Trabzon Branch was opened.

  • 1996
    International medical scholarships started to be given from the Prof. Dr. Orhan Birman Scholarship Fund.
     
    Since 1981, medical scholarships have been given to 5554 Medical Faculty students.
  • 2001

    İnanç High School was taken over in 2002 and the school continues its educational activities under the name of Turkish Education Foundation İnanç Türkeş Private High School (TEVITÖL).

  • 2006

    Kocaeli Branch was opened.

  • 2007

    High Merit Scholarships for the leaders of the future began to be given.

  • 2008

    Kayseri Branch was opened.

  • 2011

    Private TEV İzmir Republic Higher Education Dormitory For Girls was opened.

  • 2012

    Private TEV Trabzon Higher Education Dormitory For Girls was opened.

  • 2014

    ERP system was implemented. TEV became the first foundation among NGOs in Turkey to transfer all their processes to ERP.

  • 2015
    The e-learning project TEV Academy was launched.
     
    Private TEV Ankara Sedef Ölçer Higher Education Dormitory For Girls was opened.
  • 2016

    TEV Mentorink Project started to be implemented.

  • 2017
    TEV Mehmet-Nevin Bilginer Culture and Art Center was opened.
     
    Muğla Branch was opened.
  • 2018
    Tekirdağ Branch was opened.
     
    TEV special day wreaths called “Bir Dünya Çiçek” started to be applied.
  • 2019

    TEV Uğuz Tarık Demirağ Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School was opened.

  • 2020
    With the Corona Heroes Memorial Scholarship Fund, we have supported more than 200 children and youth who were victims of corona.
     
    Awards:
    The Corona Heroes Memorial Scholarship Fund was deemed worthy of the Golden Effie Award.
  • 2021

    TEV Scholarship Students Journey Project McKinsey & Company and Turkish Education Foundation Collaboration - Domestic University Scholarship Experience Journey.

  • 2022
    The switchboard system in the Headquarters and Branches was transformed into a centralized structure. The Call Center and IVR were integrated with the renewed call center.
