The Turkish Education Foundation (TEV) works in partnership with the Republic of Turkey’s Ministry of National Education (MoNE) to conduct educational activities and to build and hand over schools to the MoNE across the country in line with its principles and objectives.
Through protocols whose purpose is to grant educational scholarships to students who have been adversely affected by disasters in our country, we collaborate to ensure that the education of hundreds of children and young people continue.
We carry on CSS projects in MoNE public schools through contributions of private-sector stakeholders.
The Turkish Education Foundation was one of the first NGO members to support the Açık Açık (Openly) Platform, established to encourage open communication, transparency, and accountability in Turkey.
The Turkish Education Foundation is also a member of the Third Sector Foundation of Turkey (TÜSEV), established in 1993 by Turkey's leading civil society organizations to develop the third sector’s legal, financial, and functional infrastructure. TEV supports research and advocacy activities regarding donation and charity.
The Turkish Philanthropy Fund (TPF) is a leading U.S. community foundation for high-impact social investments focused on Turkish and Turkish-American communities. The Turkish Education Foundation is a participant on this platform, accepting donations from the United States.
So far, we have carried out several corporate projects in partnership with the TPF and individual donations to improve young people’s educational opportunities in Turkey.
Benevity is a Calgary-based Canadian platform that provides charitable donation management and grant management platforms. The Turkish Education Foundation works in partnership with Benevity to accept donations from abroad, helping donors benefit from tax breaks in their country of residence.
GlobalGiving is a non-profit organization that connects other nonprofit organizations with donors and companies. The Turkish Education Foundation collaborates with GlobalGiving and takes part in the platform specifically related to the Scholarship Fund for METU: Our Future and the Scholarship Fund for Improving with Education.
Givin is a social initiative platform where excess unused items become donations. Through a TEV and Givin partnership, every purchase on the Givin platform contributes to an TEV educational scholarship for female students.
Adım Adım (AA) (Step by Step) is made up of amateur athletes working at various organizations. Adım Adım’s purpose is to act as an intermediary to collect donations for NGOs for people in need by organizing various sports activities. Amateur athletes organize a campaign for the benefit of the NGO they select via (İPK - İyilik Peşinde Koş - Pursue Goodness) to collect donations. The Turkish Education Foundation participates in this platform to provide equal opportunities for more students and to raise funds for education through sports.
Helpsteps calculates the number of steps taken during the day. App users convert their steps into HS steps by watching a 30-second ad at the end of the day, to donate their HS steps to the NGO of their choice. In 2021, TEV was included in the Helpsteps app and began to accept donations from volunteers.
